Cooper & Gentile Co., L.P.A. began operation on October 2, 2000. The people who comprise the firm are committed to the service of others in the practice of law; advancement of professional and personal responsibility; acceptance of differences between ourselves and others; and active perpetuation of an internally noncompetitive work environment that guarantees client support and protection and individualized personal and professional growth.

Janet Cooper and Diane Gentile have been extremely active in the community and in bar association work throughout their legal careers.

Both are members of the Ohio State, Dayton and Dayton Women's Bar Associations, with Diane having served as officer of the Dayton Women's Bar Association, Trustee for the Dayton Bar Association and currently a Delegate to the Ohio State Bar Association's Council of Delegates.

Janet has served as Trustee for the Dayton Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers' Project, including president of its Board; is currently a member of the Dayton Law Library Association's Board of Trustees; has served on the Board of Trustees of Dayton's United Health Services; and has held appointment since 1992 as Special Counsel for the Ohio Attorney General to provide legal services to Sinclair Community College in Dayton.

Diane also has held appointment as Special Counsel for the Ohio Attorney General since 1995; is Past Chair of the Dayton Bar Association's Committee on Civil Trial Practice and ADR; Past member of that association's Committee on Professional Ethics; and is a Member of the Dayton Mediation Center's Advisory Board.
